Ashes

My heart explodes
Into a thousand little pieces,
All burnt.
Gravity brings them back down
They rain on me.
Hot little ashes
They sting as the float down on my skin
I stare at the ash as it settles at my feet.
I stand there for a while
Just waiting to feel pain or something
But nothing happens.
